Need Help!!

Please give me some ideas about allergy med. Reggie has Allergies really bad and every year he gets an allergy shot. He got his shot just less than two months ago and when I called to get him another one they said he can't have it until 3 months after his last shot. (but they said if he is really bad in the next week to go in next week until he is at least two months past. Well he is so miserable with his allergies and I swear he uses one box of kleenex in like two days. Please give me some ideas. He is taking something simalar to Claritin and thinks it is giving him spots and he takes allergy 10. We recently heard of somebody taking 1 tablespoon of local honey twice a day, but I can't seem to find local honey. Please give me some ideas for poor Reggie.

Thanks bunches!!

my grandma sells honey if you want to give it a try... next time you're down I'll get you some.

Or is local honey some medicine I don't know about?

Oh, I hope you figure something out. I've heard of the honey too, but don't know where you could get some here. They say it needs to be within 20 miles of your residence. Good Luck with that. It worked for my Aunt in Utah.

All of your pics were so cute! Poor Kira -- Shampoo in eyes is no fun. Love the pic of Reggie and Kyler -- classic! And that is a cool slide your parents have! I bet you do have great memories, who wouldn't?

Both my kids to flonaze (the generic version) and also take Clariton. I don't know if i was any help. You might bring him to an allergy specialist.

I had severe allergies my whole life and now I take the following and have mild to no symptoms...

in addition to the local honey...

*nettle tea (buy in bulk and get a round metal tea strainer for $2.00 and it is CHEAP--add the honey!)
*probiotics (pill form in the refrigerator)
*vit c (I like liquid because it absorbs better)
bee pollen
cod liver oil
homepathic allergy meds

The ones with stars are the ones that personally really see a difference with and take religiously. I've tried them all though...

all these things you can get at Amelia's or any health food store;)

Good luck!

I should add that my suggestions are immune builders and may not bring instant relief but if he takes them continuously they really may help down the road. They also may help immediately. I swear the nettle tea helps me right away, but maybe because I believe in it??? LOL

I don't know if this will help...but I take Tylenol Sinus congestion and pain (SEVERE). They have the 'cool burst' caplets. I also wonder, since this is worse than normal, could he have little bit of a respiratory infection? Even a mild one is horrible for a person with allergies. Snowflake is a very hard place to live if you have allergies! Wind and cedars.....ugh! I had a bad sinus infection once when a friend of mine was staying with me, she took care of me and put a wet washcloth in the microwave, got it very hot, put it in a plastic bag, and I put it on my face on the areas it hurt. That was pretty instant relief! Also, breathing steam is a big help to me. Good good luck! Let us know what works!

We have been having the same problem. :( Jason has it even worse than I do. He has been trying every allergy medication on the market along with using nose drops. I hope it starts clearing up soon.
